Users can follow these steps to export from P6 into excel (.xlsx) format, then save as .CSV format to then import the file into Hoylu!

Open the P6 file that will be exported

Click on File and then click on the Export option

Select the Spreadsheet - (XLSX) from the Export Format pop up window and click Next
- In the Export Type pop-up window, select the data you need to export (we recommend including Activities and Activity Relationships) and then click Next

Select the Project you wish to export and click Next
- In the Select Template screen, click the Modify button to update the options (this is a very important step)

Browse the categories within the Available Options list and click the arrows to add your desired fields to the Selected Options list
We recommend you select the following fields: Activity ID, Activity Status, WBS Code, WBS Name (Resource/Trade/Team), Actual Start, Actual Finish, Actual Duration, Activity Name, Predecessors and Successors.
😎 Pro Tip: Look for a designated location field (Area/Zone/Floor), that can be used as your Swimlane. The more information you export from P6, the more detailed your import to Hoylu can be.
- After adding all desired fields to the list, click the OK button

Select the location to save your Excel template file and click Next
- At the Summary screen, click the Finish button

Open the new Excel file

Click on File, then Save As

Click on the .CSV (Comma delimited) option and click Save
Now that you have your .CSV file, click on this link and follow the steps to import your file into your Project Workspace.
