Hoylu February '26 Release

In this release, we’re continuing Hoylu’s evolution from a digital whiteboard into a smart, data-driven planning workspace. We’re introducing smarter task movement that preserves sequencing, faster ways to work with connections, and workflow improvements that reduce friction in daily planning—along with expanded language support for global teams.

Whether you’re coordinating complex sequences, upgrading older plans, or managing weekly execution, this release is about control, clarity, and speed.

📅 Smarter Task Movement & Sequencing

Task movement is now more intelligent and data-aware, reducing unintended schedule changes and preserving planning logic.

Dragging tasks now shows clear visual feedback indicating how far tasks will move (by days or weeks)

Sequences preserve their relative order and duration when moved across:

• Weeks

• Collapsed or expanded views

• Swimlanes

Tasks snap to valid workdays and avoid unintended weekend placement

Hold Alt while dragging to copy task sequences instead of moving them

To support the shift toward data-driven interactions, we’ve added contextual tooltips during task movement.

Inline messaging explains:

• How far tasks will move

• Where they will land before you drop them

Visual cues clarify movement across:

• Days vs. weeks

• Collapsed vs. expanded views

• Different swimlanes

💡 This is a major step toward more predictable replanning—especially for takt-style workflows and complex sequences.

🔗 Faster Connection Selection & Batch Editing

We’ve added new workflows to make working with connections and dependencies significantly faster—especially at scale.

Quickly create connections from:

• Multiple elements to one element

• One element to multiple selected elements

Use the X shortcut to toggle between elements and their connected items, expanding selection to neighboring connections

Select connections directly using the Harpoon tool

• The first item selected determines whether you’re selecting elements or connections

Apply batch updates to selected connections:

• Change connection type

• Set dependency relationships (FS, SS, etc.)

• Apply lag values across multiple connections at once

💡 This also makes it easier to upgrade older plans while preserving existing logic.

🌍 Multi-Language UI (Beta)

To support global teams, Hoylu now includes additional UI languages.

Added Norwegian, French, and Spanish language options

Switch languages instantly via:

• The Control Center (shortcut: F1)

• Your User Profile in the Management Portal

Changes apply immediately across the application

💡 Languages are currently in Beta while translations and layout fit are refined.

🧩UX Improvements

We’ve made a handful of smaller improvements that remove friction from everyday workflows and make planning easier to manage.

Weekly Work Plan – New Sorting Option

• Added a Swimlane + Team view

• Groups tasks by team within each swimlane

• Displays tasks chronologically within each group

• Ideal for focusing on a single trade while maintaining swimlane context

💡 A practical improvement for daily and weekly coordination.

CSV Import Improvements

• Improved handling when start date, due date, and duration are all provided

• Duration is now recalculated automatically based on Hoylu’s calendar

• Reduces warnings caused by mismatched calendar settings

• Minimizes manual repair after import

• Maintains milestone detection for zero-duration tasks
