Convert Notes and Tasks

Video 1. Converting Notes to Tasks

You can encourage your teams to brainstorm their Tasks in plain sticky notes and then transform them into working Hoylu Tasks to plug into a Pull Plan. 

1. Click on the Sticky or Stickies you want to convert
   
   
2. When the Context Menu appears above the selection, click on the far left icon on the bar
   
   
3. Click on Convert to Task or Convert to Milestone in the dropdown menu
   
   
4. Select a Team to whom the Tasks will be assigned
   
   
5. Click the Convert button

Use Shift + Enter to skip to the next line in Notes. Hoylu will recognize your first line of text to be the Title of the Task and the next line to be your description. 

✏️  Note: You will only see these options under the menu if there is text in the note you are converting. 

Converting Tasks to Milestones

If you were using Tasks to show milestones and would like them to be visible as proper Milestones now, you can use a shortcut to "upgrade" the object.

1. Click on the Task(s) you want to convert
   
   
2. Hold down Ctrl and then the U buttons on your keyboard (or command and then the U button on a Mac)
