Video 1. Tables in Hoylu.
You can add Tables into your Workspace to help you categorize and organize your work or supplement existing workflows you may already have in a Plan or a Board. You can choose from several presets in the Assets Panel or create your own.
Create a Table

Click on the Plus button on the Toolbar to open the Assets Panel

Click on the Boards/Plan option in the submenu
- In the Assets Panel, click on the Table category

Browse through the existing Table presets

Click and drag your desired Table from the Assets Panel and drop it into the Workspace
- Close the Assets Panel to start working on your Table
Edit a Table

Once the Table is in the Workspace, you can move it by clicking and dragging the gray bars that appear on the top and left sides of the Table when you hover over them (demonstrated in Figure 2).

You can resize the overall dimensions of the Table by clicking and dragging the yellow bars that appear on the bottom and right sides and bottom-right corner of the Table when you hover over them (demonstrated in Figure 3).
😎 Pro Tip: Use the yellow box on the bottom right corner to reduce the size of the table completely so when you drag it back out, the cell sizes will be uniform again.

Format Columns

Edit Column Width

Hover over the right border of a cell until a thin yellow line appears
- Click and drag the line left or right to make the column more narrow or wider

Edit Color

Click the handle that appears on the top center of a cell to select the whole column
- In the Context Menu, click on the color square to select a new color for the column
- Click on the teardrop icons below the color selection to change the level of shading for the color

Add a Column

Hover over the top of a cell
- Click on either the left or right plus buttons to duplicate the column to the left or to the right of the original
Adjust Position

Click and hold the handle that appears in the top center of a cell
- Drag the handle to its desired position in the table
✏️ Note: When adjusting the position of a column, any objects within the cells of that column will also move.
Format Rows

Edit Row Length

Hover over the bottom of any cell until a thin yellow line appears
- Click and drag the line up or down to shorten or lengthen the row

Edit Color

Click on the handle on the left side of any cell to select the whole row
- In the Context Menu, click on the color square to select a new color for the row
- Click on the teardrop icons below the color selection to change the level of shading for the color

Add a Row

Hover over the left of a cell
- Click on either the top or bottom plus buttons to duplicate the row to the top or to the bottom of the original
Adjust Position

Click and hold the handle that appears in the left of a cell
- Drag the handle to its desired position in the table
✏️ Note: Similar to handling the columns, when adjusting the position of a row, any objects within the cells of that row will also move.
Format Text

Click the handle of the row or column containing the text you would like to edit (or use any Selection Tool to multi-select)

Click on the formatting options on the Context Menu that appears above the selection
- Click on the three dot menu on the Context Menu for the option to rotate text (illustrated in Figure 12)

Rename Table

Click on the text of the Table title bar

Type a new name

Click on the gray Table icon
- Click on a new color for the Table title
Lock and Unlock

Use the three dot menu on the Table title bar for the option to Lock the Table so it can no longer be moved, nor can anyone adjust the size nor reposition any rows or columns. Once it is locked, you can click on the three dot menu again for the option to Unlock the Table.
Add Content

You can add Notes, Shapes, and even images to cells. Add text to cells by either double-clicking into a cell and typing or right-clicking a cell and clicking on the three dot menu for the Edit option.
Copy Tables
You can copy and paste Tables back and forth between Workspaces if you want to use the structure multiple times or others would like to use it as well.

Click on the three dot menu in the Table title bar

Click on the Copy option in the submenu

Navigate to another Page in the Workspace or another Workspace entirely
- Right-click to paste or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V
🚧 Caution: The content will not copy over; if you want the content, you will need to use a Selection Tool to copy and paste it.
Delete

You can delete only the contents of a row or a column to "clear it out."

Click on the handle of the row or column to select it

Click on the three dot menu on the Context Menu
- Click on Delete or press the delete or Backspace button on your keyboard
🚧 Caution: This will also delete any text written within the cells.
To delete a whole row or column, however, you will follow the same steps above, but click on Delete Cells instead.
