Hoylu offers different markup tools for annotation, sketching, and other miscellaneous purposes. Draw on imported images, Notes, Shapes, and open whiteboard areas too.
Pen

- Click on the Pen icon on the Hoylu Toolbar
- Select a color for your Pen (optional)
- Select the opacity/transparency of the lines you will be drawing (optional)
- Select the width or thickness of the lines you will be drawing (optional)
- Click and drag to draw
Highlighter

- Click on the Pen icon on the Hoylu Toolbar
- Select the Highlighter option in the submenu options
- Select a color (optional)
- Click and drag to draw
✏️ Note: The Highlighter does not have additional options for opacity/transparency and width.
Straight Lines
If you want to draw a perfectly straight line, Hoylu has a trick!

- Select your preferred Pen or Highlighter tool
- Draw a short line but do not release the mouse button
- Hold briefly so the line straightens out
- Drag the line out to your desired length
Eraser
There are four different types of erasers you can use to edit the lines you have drawn in Hoylu. The small, medium, and large erasers will erase portions of the lines; the stroke eraser will erase entire lines.

- Click on the Pen or Highlighter icon on the Toolbar
- Select the Eraser option on the submenu options
- Select your preferred Eraser size
- Click and drag over the parts of the line or the lines you wish to erase
