Focus Mode narrows down the view of a Workspace to just the objects that a user requires by highlighting only what it is selected from the dropdown menus when Focus Mode is activated and fading out any unrelated objects in the Workspace. You can select multiple options in each filter so you can layer your view as much as you need to, for example if you would like to review all of one Team's Tasks in a Committed state.
You can select from the following list to program your Focus Mode:
- Type - what type of object (Note, Task, Image, etc)
- Team - programmed from the Teams section in the Control Center
- Assignee - individual users added to the Workspace Permissions List
- Status - the current state of any Task, Activity, Constraint, or Milestone
- Categories and Labels - customized tags added to any Note, Shape, Task, Milestone, or Constraint for additional classification of objects
😎 Pro-Tip: Focus Mode also helps you use the Selection Tools on only what is highlighted while Focus Mode is activated, ignoring what is faded from being added to the selection.
This is an individual, programmable view, so when one user has Focus Mode enabled, this will not impact another user's experience of the Workspace.
- Click on the flashlight icon on the top right corner of the Workspace
- When the Focus Mode drawer slides down from the top center of the screen, click on any of the dropdown menus to select any and as many filters as needed
- Navigate away from the drawer for it to slide back up while you work
- Click the Deactivate button or the intersection circle icon once again to disable Focus Mode
If your view or zoom level on the Workspace does not show any highlighted objects after making your Focus Mode selections, press F on your keyboard so Hoylu will bring your view right onto a highlighted object and Shift + F to jump back to the previous selection.
✏️ Note: You can still interact on faded objects by hovering over it until it solidifies again. If it has connected items, those will also solidify as well.
