To better communicate between participants of a Workspace, you are empowered to create unique links to specific objects within a Workspace so you can better navigate the information. You can also use this to refer to information in another Workspace.
Copy Link or Internal Link to Element
Figure 1. Create link to element.
-
Right-click on any object in the Workspace
-
Click on Copy link to element so it is saved to your clipboard
- Paste the link anywhere in the Workspace or to a message to another user
Any time you or another clicks on the link or pastes it into a browser window, the element will be the first thing visible on the newly-opened Workspace, as demonstrated in Figure 2.
Figure 2. Using links to elements.
You can also copy the internal link to elements, which will allow you to better duplicate the Workspace for templating purposes. In the event of having multiple deep links to objects within the same Workspace, the internal link options ensure that the links will keep you in the same duplicated Workspace instead of sending you back to the original copy.
😎 Pro-Tip: You can create deep links to Notes, Shapes, Images, Text Boxes, Tasks, Milestones, and Constraints so they can be used as navigation points even if they're locked to the background.
Copy Link to Tables, Boards, or Plans
You are able to create links to entire structures inside of Hoylu as well. The same instructions will apply to all three types.
Figure 3. Copy links to Tables, Boards, and Plans.
-
Click on the three-dot menu on the Title bars of the structure
- Click on Copy Link to __
😎 Pro-Tip: The links to Plans will take the user to the current week.
Copy Link to Bookmark
If you have a page full of content that you want to make sure is highlighted by using deep links, you can also Link to Bookmarks.
Figure 4. Copy links to Bookmarks.
-
Click on the Overview Mode icon on the top left corner or zoom out until Overview Mode engages
-
Click on the three-dot menu of the Bookmark for which you would like to create a link
- Click on Copy Link to bookmark
😎 Pro Tip: As an admin, you can use Copy Internal Link to create a deep link exclusive to that Workspace, so when you Duplicate the Workspace for templating purposes, it will not direct users back to the original Workspace.
Copy Link to Project Folder
Find and share Project Folders easily by using the link icon next to the Project Collaborator marbles to copy the Project Folder link to your clipboard.

✏️ Note: Only Project Folder collaborators will be able to access the Folder itself. Those who have not been invited will not be able to see its contents.
