If you want to use custom colors for Notes, Shapes, Text, and more inside of Workspaces, you can either pick from gradients or add your own Hex Color Code. You can also select from the default Color Palettes in order to make sure the colors match across multiple object types (Tasks, Notes, Strokes, etc).
Add A Custom Color
To begin, you go into any submenu that allows you to choose a color for something; this article will start from a Note.
- Click on the Note icon in the Toolbar
- Click on the colored square that appears above the Note icon
- Click on the plus button at the bottom of the color selection popup
- Click on either of the color and brightness gradient areas to select your color (or paste your own Hex Color Code in the Hex field)
- Click on the plus button on the right to add the new custom color, which will appear under the thin gray bar
- Repeat the process to add another custom color (optional)

Default Color Palettes
As an admin of the Workspace, you are now able to choose from three different Color Palettes from the Control Center so your Notes and Shapes can better match with the colors you use for Team Assignments or even for Stroke Colors.
- Click on the arrow to the right of the Title of the Workspace
- Select the Control Center from the dropdown
- Click on the Toolbar & Colors section
You can now use the dropdown menus in the Color Palettes section to align all relevant object categories to pull from the same Color Palette so the objects will match as you add Notes and Tasks and Markups to the Workspace.
