Video 1. Assistive Rescheduling.
As Tasks are being statused and moved along the Plan, you may encounter dependency conflicts, in which Assistive Rescheduling will be helpful.
Instead of manually dragging and dropping dependent Tasks onto new dates, Hoylu will provide you the option to Resolve the Conflict by automatically moving the dependent Tasks to begin on the next available day.
Figure 1. Assistive Rescheduling on two dependent Tasks.
In the case of a re-planned Task with two dependent Tasks (visualized in Figure 3), the user will focus on the newly re-planned Task and take the following steps:
- Click on the Connections Menu icon on the top left corner of the Task
- Identify one of the two red, conflicting dependencies on the list
- Click on the triangular warning icon beside the conflict
- Click on Move conflicting elements
- Click on the checkbox to Apply for all conflicts of selected element(s)
- Click the Update button, which will show you the amount of Tasks this will effect in parentheses
For admins of the Workspace, you are able to click on the gear icon on the top right corner of the Resolve Conflict window to allow Hoylu to move Tasks that are in a more advanced status beyond Planned.

You can also do a mass reschedule of Tasks using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + A (or command + A on a Mac).
Figure 3. Assistive Rescheduling on several Tasks through Context Menu.
- Use a Selection Tool to multi-select several Tasks with conflicting dependencies
- Use the Context Menu or Ctrl + A on the selected items
- Repeat as many times as necessary until there are no more conflicts
✏️ Note: You can use Assistive Rescheduling even on Tasks that have varying lag or lead times and dependency types, which is why it may take several attempts to get the correct order in place.
