- Hoylu Notifications (BETA): This feature allows users to subscribe to specific elements and receive updates on changes through both in-app notifications and optional daily email summaries. The beta is invite-only and will gradually expand over time.
- Planning Enhancements: Streamline your planning with improved task selection and shifting capabilities within swim lanes, offering more control and efficiency.
- Reporting Enhancements: Export constraints as PDFs with deep links, enabling seamless navigation from the document to the corresponding task in Hoylu, enhancing team communication and collaboration.
- Jira Integration Enhancements: Experience seamless project management as Jira tasks now stretch across plans from start to due dates, with smart date labels and customizable recoloring based on team labels for visual clarity.
- XML Exports: Leverage the new XML export format for comprehensive data analysis, allowing for deeper insights and integration with analytics tools like Power BI.

Upon each release, release guides will be provided and stored in the Hoylu Knowledgebase. Specific product changes — our adaptive workspaces, integrations with JIRA, Digital.ai Agility, and so on — can be found in the Hoylu Knowledgebase. You can search our revised Knowledgebase any time — it’s available 24/7 to provide training and guidance on utilizing the innovative features of Hoylu.
August 2024 Release Overview
New Notification System (Beta)
We're excited to introduce Hoylu Notifications, launching as a beta feature in the August release. This feature allows users to subscribe to specific elements and receive updates on changes through both in-app notifications and optional daily email summaries. The beta is invite-only and will gradually expand over time.

Subscription and Notification Center: Users can easily subscribe to notifications by selecting elements and choosing to receive updates either in-app or via email. The Notification Center, accessible within the application and dashboard, keeps all your updates in one place, showing notifications in chronological order.
- Daily Summaries: As a part of the default notification settings, daily summaries of changes to Workspaces are sent via email.

Customizable Notifications: Future updates will include the ability to customize email frequency and notification content, ensuring that you receive only the information you need. The system currently triggers notifications for specific changes, and you can expect more refined filtering options soon.

Beta Participation: Please note that as part of the beta phase, your notification history and subscriptions may reset with service updates. We value your feedback to improve this feature, so if you're part of the beta, please share your experience with us.
Task Selection Enhancements in Planning
We’ve introduced new capabilities around task selection and shifting within swimlanes to streamline your planning process:

Select All Tasks in Swimlane: You can now easily select all tasks within a swimlane via the swimlane menu. This feature is limited to tasks, with milestones, nodes, and constraints excluded. Feedback on this is welcomed.

Context Menu Overhaul: We’ve unified the context menu, which previously varied depending on where you clicked within the swimlane. Now, regardless of your click location, you can select tasks before or after the current week, giving you more control over task selection and movement.

Task Shifting: Improvements to task shifting have moved this feature out of beta. Notably, the updated context menu allows quick adjustments to tasks, including shifting them across swimlanes or weeks. The task shifting improvements also include better interaction with board columns and sections, with customizable names reflecting the board setup.

New "Follow" Shortcut: Introducing the ‘F’ shortcut, which focuses your view on selected tasks or notes, particularly useful when shifting tasks across large plans.
Reporting Enhancements
In response to user feedback, we’ve expanded the reporting capabilities:

Export Constraints as PDF: A new button allows you to export constraints alongside your weekly work plan, with options to show descriptions and labels for easier team communication.

Deep Links in PDFs: When using the PDF export option, deep links to tasks are maintained, enabling direct navigation from the PDF to the corresponding task within Hoylu.
Improved Jira Integration
Significant updates have been made to how Jira tickets interact with Hoylu plans:

Start Date Integration: You can now set and visualize start dates for Jira tasks within Hoylu, allowing tasks to stretch from start to due date on the plan.

Smart Date Labels: Date labels now appear contextually, minimizing clutter by only displaying when there’s an interaction need.

Recolor Jira Tickets: Jira tickets can now be recolored automatically based on matching labels and team names, providing visual clarity in plans.
Data Export Enhancements
For organizations looking to further process and analyze their Hoylu data:
- XML Export: We’re introducing XML as a new data export format. This optional module offers comprehensive data access for various elements within Hoylu, from tasks to whiteboard notes, and allows for better integration with analytics tools like Power BI.
