- Enhanced Security: New password policies now require stronger passwords and provide real-time feedback, ensuring better security without impacting your workflow.
- Integrated Training Guides: Access comprehensive training directly within the app, tailored for both new and advanced users.
- Improved Planning and Performance: Enjoy consistent lag calculations, new shortcuts for managing connections, and faster swim lane deletion, making task management more efficient.
- Upgraded Table Features: Apply text styles, resize more easily, and copy-paste seamlessly between table cells for a smoother experience.
Hoylu Release Guides
Upon each release, release guides will be provided and stored in the Hoylu Knowledgebase. Specific product changes — our adaptive workspaces, integrations with JIRA, Digital.ai Agility, and so on — can be found in the Hoylu Knowledgebase. You can search our revised Knowledgebase any time — it’s available 24/7 to provide training and guidance on utilizing the innovative features of Hoylu.
September 2024 Release Overview
Enhanced Security
We've updated our password policies to align with the latest security recommendations. The changes include:
New Password Requirements: When creating or resetting a password, users must now provide a password with at least 12 characters.
- Password Feedback: As you type, you'll receive feedback if your password is too short or matches commonly used passwords, helping you create a stronger, more secure password.
- No Impact on Existing Passwords: Current users are not required to change their passwords unless they choose to do so. Additionally, Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations remain unaffected by these changes.
- Security Screening Certifications Over the summer, external vendors conducted a series of security screenings, and we have now received all relevant certifications. This continuous effort helps ensure that our services operate securely and meet the highest standards.
Integrated Training Guides
To enhance user onboarding and support:
- Training Guides Integration: We’ve integrated comprehensive training guides directly into the application, accessible via the Resource Center for all users.
- Targeted Training: There are two main training tracks—basic and advanced. The basic guide is tailored for general users, while the advanced guide offers deeper insights and is suited for admins and power users.
- Seamless Experience: The integrated guides mimic the look and feel of our application, providing a more cohesive training experience. These guides include YouTube videos and supplementary text, along with animated GIFs for quick learning bites.
- New Website Launch: We’ve also launched a new website designed to provide additional information and resources to help users get started with our application. This new platform aims to simplify access to relevant content and assist users in selecting the right templates for their projects.
Improved Planning and Performance
- Consistent Lag Calculation: We’ve standardized lag calculations to always represent the number of workdays between predecessor and successor tasks. For those interested in calendar days, a hover feature has been added to display this information.
- Connection Toggle Shortcut: After selecting a task or group of tasks, a new shortcut (the X key) allows users to then easily toggle between selected tasks and their connections, facilitating quicker updates to connection types and dependencies.
- Enhanced Export Functionality: We’ve refined our export process to ensure that the connection type and lag data are accurately reflected in CSV exports
- Swim Lane Deletion: We’ve optimized swim lane deletion operations, reducing the time required by up to 100x for large plans. This enhancement addresses previous issues where prolonged wait times caused unexpected behaviors.
Upgraded Table Features
Based on user feedback, we’ve made several refinements to table functionality:
- Text Styles in Table Cells: You can now apply text styles such as bold, italic, and underline directly within table cells, making it easier to format headers and important information.
- Improved Scaling and Resizing: Resizing notes and tables is now more intuitive, with better handle detection and placement. This change prevents the jump-back behavior previously experienced.
- Enhanced Copy and Paste: Copying and pasting text between table cells now works seamlessly, addressing previous issues that caused inconsistent behavior.
