Manage Swimlanes

A Swimlane is a row on the Plan structure that groups Tasks by whatever Category matters to your project — a trade, an area, a building, a discipline. When you look at a Plan, each task sits in the Swimlane that reflects how you want it grouped.

This grouping is a real field on the Task itself, not just a position on the screen. That means a Task's Swimlane and how it gets reported on are the same thing. That connection holds true everywhere you view the Task, whether you're looking at the Plan, a Board, a Table, or a report.

1. Click on the three-dot icon on the Plan Settings Bar
    

2. Click on Manage Swimlanes
    

3. Reorganize existing Swimlanes using the arrows on the left side of the Swimlane Titles
    

4. Toggle the switch to either show or hide one a Swimlane (or click on the topmost switch to show or hide all of them)
    

5. Click on the pencil icon to edit the color or name of the Swimlane
    

6. Click the +Add button to add new Swimlanes

You can also reorganize the Swimlanes from the Plan view by hovering over the thin horizontal bar at the top of each Swimlane until your cursor transforms and drag it up or down, as illustrated in Figure 2.
